The management board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area said rainy weather had affected hiking conditions, with two visitors suffering falls on the Cot Dien trail.

At around 8. 30 am on September 13, the site's search and rescue team received a report that a 23-year-old visitor from Ho Chi Minh City had fallen and broken an arm while hiking.

Rescuers reached the injured hiker, provided first aid with support from medical staff and transported the person to hospital for emergency treatment.

Earlier, at around 8.15 am, the tourist area's medical team treated a 27-year-old local man who had slipped on the same trail.

The man suffered a cut to his arm after falling onto bamboo. Medical staff cleaned and dressed the wound, stopped the bleeding, provided pain relief and advised him to visit hospital for stitches and further examination.

The management board has urged visitors to check weather forecasts before setting out on mountain trails, warning that rainfall can make paths dangerously slippery.

Hikers are advised to register their details at the security checkpoint before beginning their climb and save the site's emergency rescue number, 0276 387 5678.

Visitors should also wear suitable clothing, carry sufficient drinking water and medication, and bring a personal first-aid kit.

The management board recommends hiking in groups of at least two people so that visitors can assist each other in an emergency. Hikers are also asked to follow safety instructions and help protect the mountain's natural environment.
