On September 11, leaders of Cat Tien Commune People's Committee in Lam Dong Province said heavy rain and rising, fast-flowing water on the Dong Nai River had caused erosion along the riverbank in Hamlet 4.
The eroded section is about 15 metres long and extends 5 metres inland, reaching close to the edge of Ring Road 3J, with a risk of further collapse.

During the day, Cat Tien Commune People's Committee instructed the commune military command to coordinate with relevant forces to station personnel at the site, put up warning signs and cordon off the area to ensure residents' safety.
According to leaders of Cat Tien Commune People's Committee, amid increasingly complex flood developments, the locality has reported the Dong Nai riverbank erosion to higher authorities.
