The company announced on September 4 through its official Facebook page that its flagship store at 35 Trang Tien Street in Hanoi would permanently close to customers.

According to the company, the closure marks a transition as the brand expands into new retail spaces aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
After the 35 Trang Tien outlet ceases operations, customers will still be able to purchase Trang Tien Ice Cream products at new locations in Hanoi's Old Quarter, including flagship stores at 18 Hang Bai, 44 Trang Tien and 18 Ngo Quyen.
Founded in 1958, Trang Tien Ice Cream is closely associated with the 35 Trang Tien address, where its first ice cream products were made and sold. Over the decades, it has become one of Hanoi's oldest and most recognisable food brands.
The brand is currently operated by Trang Tien Ice Cream Joint Stock Company, established in 2009 and active in the dairy and dairy-products sector.
Trang Tien Ice Cream forms part of the food portfolio of One Capital Hospitality through its subsidiary One Capital Consumer. The group also develops and operates brands including Givral Bakery, Fuji Foods and Hai Ha-Kotobuki following One Capital Consumer's acquisition of a 70 per cent stake in the company.
According to the group's consolidated second-quarter financial report, One Capital Hospitality recorded net revenue of VND 307 billion (USD 11.8 million), up 73 per cent year-on-year. Revenue for the first six months of 2026 reached VND 483 billion (USD 18.5 million), an increase of about 57 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.
Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a post-tax loss of nearly VND 22 billion (USD 843,000) in the first half of the year, a significant improvement from a loss of more than VND 66 billion (USD 2.5 million) in the corresponding period of 2025.
The company said the increase in revenue was driven primarily by the expansion of its food business through acquisitions, while both its food and hospitality segments continued to grow.
In early August, One Capital Hospitality opened its Heritage Flagship Store at 18 Hang Bai Street, approximately 200 metres from the historic 35 Trang Tien outlet. The new venue forms part of the company's broader strategy to expand its food and beverage ecosystem in Hanoi.
