AirAsia flight AK571 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, landed at Lien Khuong International Airport in Lam Dong Province on September 2, marking the restoration of international air links at the airport after a five-month suspension for repairs.
Flight AK571 touched down at Lien Khuong Airport at 10.58 am, bringing dozens of international visitors to Dalat, Lam Dong Province.

Then, at 11.40 am, flight AK572 from Dalat to Kuala Lumpur also took off safely.
Leaders of Lien Khuong International Airport said the five-day National Day holiday from August 29 to September 2 was a peak travel period, with passenger numbers expected to rise by 20-30 per cent compared with the first week after the airport resumed operations. During these days, the airport is forecast to handle 36-40 flights a day and serve 7,000-8,500 passengers.

Lien Khuong Airport resumed operations on August 19 after a five-month closure for runway repairs. According to official figures, from August 19 to 26, the airport handled hundreds of take-offs and landings, served about 39,000 passengers and transported 76 tonnes of cargo.
The on-time departure rate reached 100 per cent, with no incidents threatening safety recorded.
