Authorities in Xuan Huong-Dalat ward, Lam Dong Province, met local hotel and guesthouse operators on August 30 to discuss refunds for affected travellers.
The tourists had booked accommodation in Dalat, but flight VN8020 from Can Tho was cancelled on August 28 after the aircraft developed technical problems.
Many passengers had paid deposits and feared they could lose the money after being unable to make the trip.
Phan Thi Xuan Thao, vice chairwoman of the Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward People's Committee, said local hotel operators had been supportive and cooperative and were willing to refund deposits because of the cancellation.
Some accommodation providers have already contacted guests to arrange refunds or other suitable options.
Flight VN8020, carrying about 70 passengers, had been scheduled to depart Can Tho at 8 am on August 28 but was delayed until 5 pm because of a technical problem.
Passengers later boarded the aircraft, but another technical issue emerged before departure, forcing the flight to be cancelled.
