Border guards in Tay Ninh Province have arrested a foreign national who was wanted by Chinese authorities after he was identified during exit procedures at a border crossing with Cambodia.
The Tay Ninh Border Guard Command said on August 29 that officers had detained Qin Nianwen, a Chinese citizen born in 1989, at Moc Bai International Border Gate on August 28.

Qin was undergoing immigration procedures to leave Vietnam for Cambodia when officials discovered his status during routine checks.
After comparing his details against information contained in immigration and law enforcement databases, officers determined that he was the subject of a wanted notice issued by authorities in China.
According to verified information, Qin is sought by police in Shandong Province, China, which issued a criminal detention order as part of an investigation into alleged illegal business operations.
Upon confirming his identity, officers at Moc Bai International Border Gate immediately suspended his exit procedures, notified the agency responsible for maintaining the immigration database and placed him under strict supervision.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the investigation or any potential extradition proceedings.
