The pedestrian zone stretches across the city's central flower garden area, running from Quang Trung Street to Tran Hung Dao Street. It will operate from 6 pm to midnight every Friday and Saturday until October 24.
City authorities hope the venue will become a popular destination where residents and visitors can enjoy local cuisine, socialise and experience the city's culture.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover a side of Haiphong that is both simple and reflective, while also being welcoming, open and vibrant.
Nearly 30 food and One Commune One Product (OCOP) stalls were set up throughout the pedestrian zone on opening night, showcasing a range of local specialities and regional products.
Alongside culinary offerings, the programme features traditional cultural performances and street music events designed to enhance the evening atmosphere.
