According to an update issued on the morning of August 23, local authorities and tourism operators have implemented emergency measures to ensure the safety of residents, workers and visitors amid the approaching storm and potential flooding.

The Trang An Ecotourism Complex has suspended all operations from August 23 until further notice.

At the Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, two popular attractions, Hang But (But Cave) and Dong Tien Ca (Tien Ca Cave), have been closed to visitors since August 21.

Adventure and coastal tourism activities have also been affected. Cuc Phuong National Park has suspended overnight stays in the forest, while Xuan Thuy National Park and coastal destinations including Thinh Long, Hai Tien and Giao Ninh halted river-cruise and marine tourism services from 5 am on August 22.

The Ninh Binh Department of Tourism stressed that the closures are precautionary and apply only to areas directly affected by the storm. Not all tourist sites across the province have been shut down.

Tourism services and attractions that meet safety requirements remain open under the supervision of local authorities and site operators, and suspended activities will resume once weather conditions improve.

The department has advised visitors to monitor weather forecasts and check the operating status of individual attractions before travelling. Tourists are also urged to follow instructions from management boards and authorities and avoid entering restricted or hazardous areas.

The department said it would continue coordinating with local authorities and tourism operators to monitor weather developments and provide timely updates to visitors, tourism businesses and the media.
