At Noi Bai International Airport, runway and air traffic capacity will be set at 37 flights per hour between midnight and 5.59 am from January 22 to February 20.
At Tan Son Nhat International Airport, capacity will rise to 46 flights per hour between 6 am and 11.59 pm and 42 flights per hour overnight during the same peak travel period.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said the adjustments were aimed at making better use of airport capacity, particularly during peak periods, while maintaining passenger service quality.
Vietnam Airlines Group, comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and Vasco, will begin selling tickets for the 2027 Lunar New Year on August 25, offering nearly 3.7 million seats across domestic and international routes.
The figure is up 11 per cent from the 2026 holiday period, covering the month-long peak from January 22 to February 20.
Vietnam Airlines advised passengers to book early and remain flexible with travel dates and times, saying flights against peak travel flows could offer greater availability and better fares.
