The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) asked airlines to closely monitor bookings and ticket sales and adjust schedules or add flights where demand is high, particularly on routes to and from Hanoi before and after the holiday.
Airlines were also encouraged to work with local authorities and tourism businesses on promotional packages combining flights and travel services to stimulate holiday demand.

Carriers must announce additional flights early, review schedules and return unused slots to optimise capacity, particularly at busy airports such as Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Danang.
Airlines were instructed to maximise the use of their fleets and ensure adequate pilots, cabin crew and technical staff while strictly complying with aviation safety and security regulations.
The CAAV also required carriers to comply with domestic airfare regulations, sell tickets within permitted price ranges and closely monitor agents to prevent improper pricing.
Airlines must ensure adequate staff at check-in areas to handle complaints and assist passengers during prolonged delays or cancellations, while minimising disruptions caused by technical problems or other airline-related issues.
Airport operators were told to inspect runways, taxiways and aprons, prepare for incidents and deploy additional staff and equipment to speed up passenger procedures and prevent congestion, particularly at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat.
Noi Bai International Airport was specifically asked to strengthen traffic management around its terminals and ensure transport operators comply with rules on stopping, parking and passenger pick-up and drop-off.
The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation was also instructed to take measures to ease congestion at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat, maintain adequate staffing and closely monitor flight operations throughout the holiday.
