A tourist has recovered a gold bracelet she lost while attending the Hue Nam Temple Festival in Hue City after receiving help from local police.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when Nguyen Thi Thu Van, 61, from Da Nang, was attending the festival with relatives in Hai Cat Village, Kim Long Ward.

At around 8 pm, Van discovered that she had lost a 999 gold bracelet weighing one tael and reported it to police officers on duty at the festival.

Local police and security personnel began searching for the bracelet. Shortly afterwards, a Kim Long resident reported finding it and asked police to return it to its owner.

After verifying the ownership, police returned the bracelet to Van.

Police also helped a visitor from Dak Lak Province recover a basket containing more than VND 3 million and a mobile phone, while several other visitors were reunited with lost bags and belongings.

The Hue Nam Temple Festival, part of Hue Festival 2026, opened on August 20, with free admission to the temple during the event.

Organisers expect the festival to attract around 40,000-50,000 visitors this year.
