Local authorities and relevant agencies were working to help residents recover from the damage.

Initial reports said the storm swept through the Bao Loc urban area at around 4.30 pm, damaging dozens of houses.
Strong winds also uprooted and snapped trees along several streets, disrupting traffic, while a number of low-voltage power poles were brought down, causing localised power outages.
After the storm subsided at around 5.30 pm, local authorities deployed personnel to help residents clear debris and repair damage. Officials were also assessing the extent of the losses.

Earlier on August 20, heavy rain and strong winds also brought down trees in Da Huoai Commune and Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward in Lam Dong Province.
A large old tree fell onto National Highway 20 near Chuoi Pass in Da Huoai, hitting a lorry and disrupting traffic for several hours.
In Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward, a decades-old pine tree fell across Prenn Pass, while another tree blocked Ho Tung Mau Street.
No casualties have been reported in the incidents, according to local authorities.
