Landslide disrupts road linking Dalat and Buon Ma Thuot

Heavy rain triggered a major landslide on the DT722 road in Lam Dong Province, with large volumes of soil and rocks blocking traffic.

On August 19, authorities in Dam Rong 4 Commune, Lam Dong Province, coordinated with relevant agencies to clear the landslide on the DT722 road.

The landslide occurred after heavy rain on August 17-18, when a large amount of soil and rock from the uphill embankment collapsed onto the road, disrupting traffic.

Authorities identified two landslide sites and mobilised workers and machinery to clear debris and ensure the safety of motorists.

They are also inspecting the uphill and downhill slopes along the route to assess conditions and develop measures to address areas at risk of further landslides.
