The Can Tho-Dalat-Can Tho route, identified by the airport codes VCA-DLI, was inaugurated at Can Tho International Airport on the morning of August 19.
The route is operated using ATR-72 aircraft. The direct service significantly reduces travel time between the two destinations, from more than eight to 10 hours by road to less than an hour by air, making travel, trade and tourism more convenient for residents and visitors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, vice-chairwoman of the Can Tho People's Committee, said the new route would not only shorten travel times but also create new opportunities for trade, investment cooperation, cultural exchange and tourism development between the two localities.

Diep described the route as a "bridge" linking the development spaces of Can Tho and Lam Dong Province. It is expected to expand markets, create new travel itineraries and allow authorities and businesses in the two localities to tap their respective potential and advantages.
Can Tho hopes the route will help promote tourism development programmes and create tours and travel routes connecting the Mekong Delta with the Central Highlands.
It is also expected to strengthen links between tourism products, giving businesses in the two localities greater opportunities to cooperate and expand their markets.
