The flight was operated by a Boeing 787-9 wide-body aircraft. After the issue was identified, the crew immediately followed safety procedures and returned the aircraft to Munich Airport for landing, Vietnam Airlines said.

All passengers and crew members were safe and were escorted into the terminal after landing, the airline said.
