The team will stay and train in Kuala Lumpur ahead of the match, with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) expressing its determination to secure a positive result away from home.

"Have a safe journey, maintain team unity, play with confidence and achieve our objectives. Let us work towards a favourable result before returning home for the second leg," the VFF said on its official Facebook page.

The first leg between Vietnam and Malaysia is scheduled for 9 pm local time on August 16 in Kuala Lumpur. The second leg will be played at 8 pm on August 19 at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.
Vietnam, the defending champions, will be looking to establish an advantage in Malaysia before completing the tie on home soil.
