The event, themed ggreen Transition and effective governance for SMEs, is part of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2026, an annual initiative launched by Dantri/DtiNews in 2024. This year's company tour is organised by Dantri/Dtinews in partnership with SCG and Prime Group.
Moving beyond conventional conferences and seminars, the programme takes participants inside a manufacturing facility to see how environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles are applied in production and management.
It aims to help SMEs identify practical ways to begin their green transition while taking into account constraints on funding, staffing and other resources.
Participants are touring the Prime Tien Phong Factory to learn about the group's sustainability and circular economy practices, including its production and packaging lines and facilities for employees.
The tour highlights the use of biomass fuel, heat recovery systems, Internet of Things (IoT) technology and solar power, offering practical examples of how ESG measures can be incorporated into manufacturing operations.
Prime Group has operated in the building materials and bathroom products sector for more than 25 years. It has 14 member companies and around 3,600 employees, with annual tile production capacity of about 80 million square metres. Its products are available in 24 countries and territories.
SMEs explore practical paths to green transition
The factory tour will be followed by a panel discussion on how SMEs can implement green transition measures effectively.
The discussion will focus on practical challenges facing smaller businesses, including whether ESG investment can generate commercial benefits, how companies with limited resources can begin their transition and which measures should be prioritised.
Speakers include Dr Bui Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of Professional Affairs at the Office of the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV); Dr Thai Duy Sam, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Vietnam Association for Building Materials; Tran Tuan Anh, Director of Energy Management and ID4.0 at Prime Group; and Dinh Quynh Trang, founder of Nestoria Vietnam.
The panel will also examine what SMEs can realistically achieve within six to 12 months, including measures that could deliver measurable environmental and economic benefits during their first year of transition.
Participants will have the opportunity to raise questions directly with experts and business representatives and discuss challenges they face in adopting ESG practices.
Turning ESG commitments into action
ESG requirements are increasingly influencing business competitiveness as companies face growing expectations from markets, business partners, supply chains and financial institutions.
For SMEs, however, the challenge is not simply whether to adopt ESG practices, but how to begin without placing excessive pressure on limited financial and human resources.
ESG Company Tour 2026 seeks to address that challenge by allowing businesses to examine measures already in use and consider approaches suited to their own operations and resources.
The company tour marks an expansion of the Vietnam ESG Forum from discussions and awareness-building towards practical activities at businesses and manufacturing sites.
Launched by Dantri/DTiNews in 2024, the annual Vietnam ESG Forum includes seminars, panel discussions, company tours and the Vietnam ESG Awards, which recognise organisations for their ESG practices.
