The Police Investigation Agency of Phu Tho Province has launched criminal proceedings and charged Nguyen Hai Linh, 33, of Vinh Yen Ward, Phu Tho, with infringing industrial property rights.
Linh is the owner of Kai Store, which operates at three premises: Kai Store at 17 Ngo Quyen Street, Vinh Phuc Ward; Hero Store at 38 Ngo Quyen Street, Vinh Phuc Ward; and Hero Store at 192-194 Hung Vuong Street, Vinh Yen Ward, all in Phu Tho Province.

During inspections, police found 469 fashion items openly displayed for sale at the three outlets, including trousers, shirts, shoes, sandals, wallets, socks and hats bearing logos and trademarks of globally known fashion brands protected in Vietnam, such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce&Gabbana, Dior, Nike, Gucci, Hermes, Adidas and MLB (NY).
At the time of the inspection, Linh was unable to produce invoices, documents or papers proving the lawful origin of the goods.

The National Institute of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Science and Technology concluded that all 469 items seized by police were counterfeit goods infringing trademarks legally protected in Vietnam.
