Vietnam booked their place in the ASEAN Cup 2026 semi-finals as Group A winners after defeating Cambodia 3-1 at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on August 7.
Forward Nguyen Dinh Bac was the standout performer, scoring twice to inspire Kim Sang Sik's side to a convincing victory and move to the top of the tournament's scoring charts.
The win ensured Vietnam finished top of Group A, advancing to the semi-finals where they will face the runners-up from Group B. Under the tournament schedule, the first leg will be played away from home on August 15, with the return leg in Vietnam three days later.
Vietnam completed the group stage unbeaten, reinforcing their status as one of the favourites to retain the regional title under head coach Kim Sang Sik.
