Ho Chi Minh City Police, in coordination with relevant agencies, received 47 Vietnamese citizens deported from the United States at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Tuesday.
According to Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, this was the largest group of citizens deported from the United States and received since the start of the year. Most had lived in Ho Chi Minh City before leaving Vietnam and had committed legal violations in the United States.

After completing the necessary legal procedures, US authorities handed the group over to the Vietnamese side under bilateral cooperation agreements. The reception process was carried out in a way that met diplomatic requirements, maintained public order and security, and respected and protected the citizens' lawful rights and interests on humanitarian grounds.
For citizens who have not been able to contact a sponsor, do not have stable accommodation or face particularly difficult circumstances, authorities will coordinate with Ward-level People's Committees, local police and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to place them in social support facilities for temporary care and assistance.

Since the start of the year, Ho Chi Minh City Police have received four groups of citizens deported from the United States. In the previous three cases, the total number of deportees was 100.
Ho Chi Minh City Police urged people seeking to study, work, travel or settle abroad to proactively learn about and strictly comply with the laws of their host country. They warned against involvement in illegal entry and exit activities, unlawful residence and undeclared work, the use of forged documents, or assisting networks that organise the illegal movement of people overseas.
