Ho Chi Minh City Police, in coordination with Di An Ward Police, are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed dozens of motorbikes on Monday night.

According to initial information, at about 10 pm the same day, flames suddenly broke out at a vacant lot used to store motorbikes next to 55 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Di An Ward. After spotting the blaze, nearby residents raised the alarm and brought fire extinguishers and other tools to tackle it. However, the fire quickly spread to other motorbikes, accompanied by several loud explosions that forced people to flee.
Many people urgently moved motorbikes from a pawn shop next to the scene to prevent the fire from spreading further.
After receiving the report, Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched fire engines and numerous officers to the scene. After nearly 10 minutes of firefighting, the blaze was completely extinguished.

The fire destroyed dozens of motorbikes. Residents said the vehicles had just been brought in by a motorbike trading shop on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street and were being temporarily stored on the vacant lot.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated by the authorities.
