The vehicle owner was fined VND 22 million (USD 836) for allowing the violation and had the coach's contract transport permit suspended for two months.
The coach was stopped on National Highway 1A while travelling from Ninh Binh Province to Giap Bat Bus Station in Hanoi after traffic police received reports that it was carrying too many passengers.
