Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper, in partnership with the People's Committee of Minh Quang Commune in Tuyen Quang Province, held a memorial incense offering on July 26 to honour fallen soldiers before presenting 100 gift packages to people recognised for their service to the revolution.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, Chau Thi Khuyen, chairwoman of the People's Committee of Minh Quang Commune, expressed pride in the community's long tradition of military service and sacrifice.
"The sacrifice of our fallen heroes and the lifelong injuries endured by war veterans can never be fully repaid. Their devotion remains a powerful symbol of revolutionary heroism and the foundation of the independence, freedom and development we enjoy today," she said.
Khuyen also praised the resilience of wounded veterans, sick veterans, people affected by wartime chemical exposure and other policy beneficiary families living in the commune.

She thanked the leaders of the Communist Party, the Vietnamese government, Tuyen Quang Province, Dantri Newspaper, its readers and donors for their continued support for Minh Quang Commune on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
Nguyen Tuan Hop, representing Dantri, said the programme reflected the newspaper's gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick veterans, relatives of fallen soldiers and other families recognised for their contributions to the country.

He also thanked the authorities in Tuyen Quang Province, the People's Committee of Minh Quang Commune, readers and donors for supporting the newspaper's charitable activities honouring veterans and families of fallen soldiers.

During the event, the People's Committee of Minh Quang Commune distributed 438 gifts provided by the State President, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province, the provincial National Assembly delegation, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Hospital and the Gratitude Fund to wounded veterans, sick veterans, relatives of fallen soldiers and other beneficiaries.
To mark the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, Dantri/Dtinews has organised tribute programmes across the country, including:
- Working with the Vietnam Former Youth Volunteers Association and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases to provide free medical examinations, medicines and gifts to 1,000 former youth volunteers and wounded veterans in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces.
- Presenting 120 cash gifts of VND 1 million each to 40 wounded veterans and 80 former youth volunteers in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces.
- Donating 10 charity houses to disadvantaged former youth volunteer families in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces.
- Holding memorial ceremonies at the Dong Loc Junction Special National Historical Site in Dong Loc Commune, Ha Tinh Province.
- Paying tribute at Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery and the Long Dai Ferry historical site in Quang Tri Province.
- Organising health check-ups for 350 people with revolutionary service in Xuan Loc Ward, Dong Nai City.
- Working with the Danang Department of Home Affairs to present a portrait of a fallen soldier to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Lang, aged 105, in Hoi An Tay Ward, Danang City.
- Presenting 70 cash gifts of VND 1 million each to 70 families recognised for their service to the revolution in Dong Xuan, Tuy An Bac and Xuan Phuoc communes in Dak Lak Province.
- Presenting 100 gifts to 100 families with revolutionary service in Minh Quang Commune, Tuyen Quang Province.
