Tuyen Quang speeds up boarding school project

Construction of a 1,575-student boarding school in northern Vietnam's Tuyen Quang Province is being accelerated to ensure it opens for the 2026-27 academic year.

The project, with an investment of more than VND 251 billion (USD 9.6 million), will serve primary and lower secondary students in Minh Tan Commune after the merger of three local schools.

The campus will include 45 classrooms and accommodate about 1,575 students. Around 76 per cent of construction has been completed, with structural work finished and interior, electrical and fire safety systems now being installed.

Authorities said 1,499 students have already enrolled, including 1,310 boarders.

During a site inspection, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau urged contractors to speed up construction while maintaining quality and completing equipment installation before the new school year.
