On the morning of July 26, a delegation representing the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee laid wreaths and offered incense in tribute to fallen heroes at the Monument to Fallen Heroes on Bac Son Street, before paying respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh on the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (Photo: Hai Long).
Those attending the ceremony included Party General Secretary and State President To Lam; Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
Former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former State President Luong Cuong; former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; and many current and former leaders of central agencies, ministries and sectors also attended the tribute ceremony (Photo: Hai Long).
In a solemn atmosphere, Party and State leaders expressed remembrance for the nation’s outstanding sons and daughters who gave their blood and lives, fighting bravely and sacrificing themselves for the country’s independence and freedom and for the people’s happiness.
Afterwards, delegations from the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence, and from the Central Public Security Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security, laid wreaths and offered incense in tribute to fallen heroes at the Monument to Fallen Heroes on Bac Son Street (Photo: Hai Long).
