The event, held at Thuong Bac Park, formed part of the Hue-Culinary Capital 2026 programme and brought together chefs and food experts from across Vietnam.

Organisers said the record-setting event was intended to honour Hue bun bo, whose traditional culinary knowledge is recognised as Vietnam's national intangible cultural heritage, while promoting the city's reputation as a culinary destination.
Representatives of the Vietnam Records Organisation (VietKings) certified the record after assessing the dishes.
They hope the event will help raise the profile of Hue's iconic noodle soup and introduce the city's culinary traditions to more domestic and international visitors.
