Police in Son La Province have arrested a man accused of drug trafficking after seizing 6,100 methamphetamine pills, a motorcycle and a mobile phone during an anti-narcotics operation.
The provincial police announced on July 18 that the suspect, Trang Tong Mua, born in 1989 and a resident of A La Village, Long Sap Commune, had been detained on suspicion of illegally trading narcotics.

According to investigators, officers confiscated 6,100 synthetic drug tablets, along with a motorcycle believed to have been used in the operation and a mobile phone.
During the arrest, the suspect allegedly resisted violently and drove his motorcycle directly at the law enforcement team in an attempt to escape.
He was eventually overpowered and taken to the Chieng Son Border Guard Station for further investigation.
Major Tong Duy Tan, deputy commander of the Special Anti-Drug and Crime Task Force, sustained injuries while subduing the suspect during the operation.
