To support the bid, Son Tay plans to diversify tourism experiences, preserve traditional festivals, upgrade local specialty products and improve visitor services while promoting digital tourism.

Tourism experts also proposed developing night tours, museums, homestays, heritage cafés, creative markets, AI-powered tourism services and heritage routes to strengthen the area's appeal.

Located on Hanoi's western outskirts, Duong Lam Ancient Village was the first village in Vietnam recognised as a national architectural and artistic relic. Known as the land of two kings, it preserves hundreds of laterite houses and other historic structures

The village attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and has been expanding community-based tourism and digital services to enhance the visitor experience.
