Officials said on July 7 that two more sets of remains had been recovered, bringing the total found at the site to 11. No personal belongings were discovered alongside the latest remains.
Excavation teams will continue preparing to expand the search area over the coming days to facilitate the recovery and repatriation of additional remains.

The operation follows a government backed investigation into reports of a mass grave at the former Do Thanh Chi Hoa Cemetery, the site now occupied by Le Thi Rieng Park.

Search teams recovered the first seven sets of remains on July 6. One set was found with identifying information bearing the name Huynh Van Quen.
A family from Vam Co Commune in Tay Ninh Province has since come forward, believing the remains belong to their relative. On July 7, two men identifying themselves as Huynh Van Quen's younger brothers provided DNA samples to help confirm the identity.
