Fences on both sides of the park entrance will be removed to create an open space linking the square with the park. The entrance will also be renovated, with new lighting and LED screens installed.

Construction began in early July and is scheduled for completion before December 31.
Thong Nhat Park covers more than 50 hectares and is bordered by Tran Nhan Tong, Le Duan, Dai Co Viet and Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets.
The redevelopment of the pedestrian street and park entrance marks the final phase of a broader effort to upgrade the landscape surrounding Thong Nhat Park following the removal of perimeter fencing.
