A video showing the incident, which occurred in Cu Yang Commune, Daklak Province, circulated on social media on July 4. The footage shows a black snake more than one metre long moving across a bed enclosed by a mosquito net.
A man armed with a stick attempted to restrain and drive the snake out of the house, while family members watched in alarm.

Son, a resident of Tan Thanh Village in Cu Yang Commune, said the incident took place at around 10 pm on July 3 at her sister's home.
According to Son, her sister was sleeping beside her young child when she unexpectedly touched the snake as it crawled across the bed. She immediately grabbed the child, jumped off the bed and shouted for relatives to help. Neither the woman nor the child was bitten.
Family members then used sticks and tree branches to force the snake out of the house, while Son recorded the incident on her mobile phone.
"The snake was quite aggressive. It repeatedly raised its head and lunged towards the stick whenever someone approached. It may have entered the house through gaps in the walls," Son said.
After searching online, Son said she believed the reptile was a venomous cobra, although this has not been confirmed by wildlife authorities.
Following the incident, the family sealed gaps around the house to prevent snakes and other reptiles from entering.
