Investigators identified Nguyen Van Hao, born in 1992, and Pham Xuan Thuy, born in 1989, both from Thai Nguyen Province, as the alleged ringleaders of the betting network.

According to police, the suspects used a Super Master football betting account identified as "JQK52", dividing it into multiple sub accounts that were distributed to gamblers in Thai Nguyen Province, Ninh Binh Province and other parts of Vietnam to facilitate illegal betting.

The investigation found that transactions handled by the network totalled more than VND 900 billion (approximately USD 34.4 million).

Since the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, betting transactions through the operation alone have reached approximately VND 350 billion (approximately USD 13.4 million), police said.

The Investigation Police Agency under Ninh Binh Province Police is continuing to work with relevant authorities to expand the investigation.
