Led by the ward's police chief, the team will handle complaints received through hotlines, social media and in person, including overcharging, fraud, theft, food safety and environmental issues, street vending and tourist harassment.
A separate community patrol team has also been established to monitor the Mui Ne Fishing Village area and quickly address incidents affecting tourism services and the destination's image.
The move follows social media complaints that tourists were overcharged when buying seafood at the fishing village. Authorities have since tightened oversight of businesses in the area
Officials said the new teams were expected to improve tourism management, promote a safer and more visitor-friendly environment, and strengthen Mui Ne's reputation as a tourist destination.
