Quang Ngai firm accused of dumping 1,800 tonnes of waste

Police in Quang Ngai Province are investigating a construction materials company accused of dumping more than 1,800 tonnes of waste and discharging untreated wastewater.

Investigators said the alleged violations were discovered during an inspection of a concrete mixing plant operated by AP Production and Trading Construction Materials Co. Ltd. in the Sai Gon-Dung Quat Industrial Zone.

Authorities said the company had dumped waste concrete at two sites near the plant, with the total volume exceeding 1,800 tonnes, and discharged untreated wastewater generated during concrete production.

Officers collected two solid waste samples and one wastewater sample as part of the investigation.

Police said the company had seriously violated environmental regulations and that the case was being documented for further legal action.
