Heavy rain from late June 28 to early June 29 caused flooding and landslides in several parts of the northern province.

Military commands in Tra Linh and Truong Ha communes deployed soldiers and militia to move food supplies, crops, livestock and household belongings to safer areas.
In Truong Ha Commune, troops and local volunteers cleared fallen trees and landslide debris to reopen blocked roads for residents and visitors.
Binh Long Hydropower Plant began releasing water at 8.30 am on Sunday after forecasts warned of continued heavy rain in the upper catchment. Water levels downstream, including Pac Gay Hamlet in Hoa An Commune, were expected to rise by about one metre.
Authorities said they were closely monitoring the situation and urged residents to stay away from flooded areas, fast-flowing water and landslide-prone locations.
