Hoang Nhat Nam, head of the Miss Grand Vietnam organising committee, announced that the pageant's semi final round will return for the 2026 edition after being absent for the previous two seasons. This year's competition will also feature several new events and format changes.
According to the organisers, the 2026 programme will include a series of side competitions, including Grand Heat, Grand Talent and Grand Chat, alongside two major showcase events, The Grand National Costume and Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest. The grand final is scheduled for July 31.
The semi-final, to be held on July 28 in conjunction with The Grand National Costume show, will provide the top 31 contestants with a key opportunity to demonstrate their stage presence, performance skills and individuality before the final.

Contestants will compete in three segments: evening gown, bikini and traditional cultural costume. The organisers said the performances will give judges a more comprehensive assessment of each contestant while allowing audiences to follow the leading contenders for the crown.
This year's field includes several experienced beauty queens with notable achievements in previous pageants, including Ngo Bao Ngoc, a top five finalist at Miss Universe Vietnam 2023; Tran Thi Thoa Thuong, a top five finalist at Miss World Vietnam 2023; Phan Le Kim Ngoc, a top nine finalist at Miss National Vietnam 2024; and Vo Doan Bao Ha, who finished in the top 10 at Miss World Vietnam 2025.
The Miss Grand Vietnam 2026 final will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on July 31. During the event, the organisers will announce the top 20, top 15, top 10 and top five contestants before crowning the winner.
The new titleholder will succeed Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi as Miss Grand Vietnam and will represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2026, which is expected to be held in India.
