The provincial Economic Police Division, working with market surveillance officers, carried out a surprise inspection at a company producing boneless chicken feet in Ho Nai Ward.
Inspectors found the processing area failed to meet food safety and hygiene standards. More than seven tonnes of frozen chicken feet stored in the company's cold warehouses were also found to be either past their expiry date or lacking proof of origin.
The company's representative was unable to provide documents verifying the source of the products.
Authorities have seized the entire shipment for further investigation and legal action.
