Authorities in Tra Linh Commune announced that they had successfully dismantled a cross-border operation involving drug trafficking and the organisation of illegal exits from Vietnam.

According to investigators, at around 10 pm on June 7, officers conducting patrols in Tra Linh Commune caught three local men, aged 21, 25 and 44, escorting three Chinese nationals who were attempting to cross illegally from Vietnam into China.
During an administrative inspection, police discovered that one of the Chinese nationals was carrying illegal narcotics.
Officers seized 996.05 grammes of crystal methamphetamine at the scene.

The investigation found that the three Chinese nationals had previously entered Vietnam illegally from Cambodia and were attempting to return to China through unofficial border routes.
Police also persuaded a Vietnamese suspect to surrender in connection with organising and facilitating illegal border crossings.
According to authorities, the individual allegedly acted as a guide and lookout, providing information about law enforcement patrols to assist the group.
The case remains under investigation, and further legal proceedings are underway.
