People aged over 40 made up 27.83 per cent of the unemployed, while those under 24 accounted for 9.8 per cent, according to the centre's latest labour market bulletin.
The centre said each age group faced different challenges but also had distinct strengths valued by employers.

Young workers under 24 were recognised for their adaptability and ability to quickly learn new technologies. The centre encouraged them to gain practical experience through internships, vocational training and part-time jobs.
Workers aged 25-40 were encouraged to improve their digital skills and expand their professional networks to remain competitive.
For workers aged over 40, the centre highlighted their experience, problem-solving abilities and stability as key advantages, particularly for management, technical and administrative roles.
The centre recommended that older workers focus on positions requiring extensive expertise, reliability and strong decision-making skills.
