Gia Lai Province will host the second Vietnam Travel Day on August 13-17 as part of efforts to boost tourism cooperation and attract international visitors.

Around 550 delegates are expected to attend, including representatives from 150 international travel companies from key markets such as South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, India, the Philippines and Russia.

The event will also attract about 200 domestic tour operators and nearly 200 tourism service providers from Gia Lai and neighbouring localities.

In addition to promotional activities, Vietnam Travel Day 2026 is designed as a networking platform linking travel firms, destinations, hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment providers and tourism promotion agencies.

The programme will feature destination survey trips, business-to-business meetings and tourism product showcases.

International buyers are expected to travel from Danang and Khanh Hoa to Gia Lai to explore local tourism products and attend networking events.

A key highlight will be the 2026 International Travel Forum, themed "Accelerating International Visitor Growth: New Markets, New Products, New Partnerships".

The forum is expected to bring together policymakers, tourism associations, travel companies, airlines, accommodation providers and destination managers to discuss ways to attract more international visitors to Vietnam.
