The fair, themed Reading for Fun, Learning for Life, will run from June 26 to July 2, according to the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports.
Organised by the municipal People's Committee and the Department of Culture and Sports, the event aims to promote reading habits and expand children's access to knowledge.

Activities will take place at three main venues: the HCM City General Sciences Library, the Sora Gardens complex and Vung Tau Book Street, alongside events at community reading spaces and residential areas.
A new feature this year is the fair's expansion beyond traditional venues through a Book Fair in Residential Complexes model at three apartment developments, featuring author exchanges, workshops and reading promotion activities.
The fair will also serve special groups of readers through book donations to Children's Hospital 1, the Vo Thi Sau Memorial House and three new book collections for workers and their children living in rental and social housing.
Mobile digital library vehicles will make seven trips to suburban and underserved areas, offering books, storytelling sessions, digital experiences and life-skills activities
More than 100 activities for children and families are scheduled during the seven-day event, including meetings with authors, illustrators and reading advocates, as well as art, comic creation and book design contests.
Highlights will include STEM, robotics and technology programmes featuring robot navigation challenges, robot football, smart-home models and science activities.
An interactive science exhibition organised by the General Sciences Library and the Goethe-Institut will explore topics including space, human history, the human brain and artificial intelligence.
For the first time, the fair will feature a dedicated area for visually impaired children, equipped with Braille books, audiobooks, tactile illustrated books and assistive devices.
The event will also host seven seminars and five discussion programmes for parents and teachers on fostering reading habits and supporting children in the digital age.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 8.30 am on June 26 at the HCM City General Sciences Library.
Organisers plan to award more than 100 scholarships and over 100 gift packages to disadvantaged students while launching book donation campaigns for children in underserved areas.
