The provincial Department of Finance said on June 21 that it had recommended keeping current ticket prices following discussions with FLC Group, Hanoi Star Real Estate JSC and other stakeholders.
Under the proposal, the operator would keep the current entrance fee instead of raising it from VND 22,000 to VND 50,000 until key investments and new tourism services are completed.

The department said any future price adjustment should be tied to the progress of investment projects and reflect improvements in service quality and visitor experience.
The company was also urged to disclose any future pricing plans and consult local authorities, tourism groups and travel firms before making adjustments.
In addition, it was asked to continue investing in infrastructure, visitor facilities, environmental sanitation and service quality.
The chairman of the Gia Lai People's Committee approved the recommendations and assigned relevant agencies to monitor the implementation of the ticket pricing policy.
Provincial authorities said balancing the interests of businesses, local communities and visitors was key to sustainable tourism development
The controversy emerged after Hanoi Star Real Estate announced on June 15 that entrance fees at Eo Gio would increase from VND 22,000 to VND 50,000 per visit.
The company had only recently taken over management of the site and had yet to make significant investments in infrastructure, landscaping, visitor facilities or new tourism products
They said operations at Eo Gio remained largely unchanged from the period when the site was managed by local authorities, with sightseeing continuing to be the main attraction and no substantial value-added services introduced.
Authorities warned that raising ticket prices without corresponding improvements in infrastructure, amenities and service quality could affect public support, visitor satisfaction and the destination's competitiveness.
