The accident occurred at approximately 7.40 am on June 6 on the Ho Chi Minh Highway in Cu Jut Commune, Lam Dong Province.

According to initial reports, the driver of a tractor truck, whose identity has not yet been released, was travelling from Lam Dong toward Dak Lak. Upon reaching a section of the highway in Hamlet 1, Cu Jut Commune, the vehicle collided with a farm vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
A source told Dantri/Dtinews that three people travelling on the farm vehicle were killed, while two others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
Following the incident, authorities in Cu Jut Commune, together with traffic police and officers from the Lam Dong Provincial Police, arrived at the scene, secured the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
