Tran Phuong Nam, 27, a fisherman from Ho Tram Commune, spotted the turtle entangled in his net while fishing at sea at around 7 am and brought it ashore before notifying the Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station.

Border guards were dispatched to the scene and examined the turtle, determining that it was healthy and fit for release after receiving necessary care.
The animal was later returned safely to its natural habitat in coordination with local authorities.
Sea turtles are protected wildlife in Vietnam and play an important role in maintaining marine ecosystem balance.
Authorities said the fisherman's prompt action and cooperation with rescue efforts reflected growing community awareness of wildlife conservation and contributed to efforts to protect marine biodiversity.
