Pham Van Hoa, deputy head of Khanh Hoa Province’s project management board for agricultural and transport works, said the section was scheduled to open from 9am local time.
According to Hoa, all construction items on the section have been completed and approved by the State Inspection Council for Construction Acceptance.

When operational, the section will connect National Highway 1 with the Van Phong-Nha Trang Expressway at the Km8+500 interchange and link to National Highway 26 at Km20+300, helping complete Khanh Hoa Province’s east-west transport corridor.
Hoa added that contractors were accelerating work on the remaining more than 10km section managed by Khanh Hoa authorities in order to open the full route in the near future.
The Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot Expressway stretches about 117 kilometres and is divided into three component projects, with Khanh Hoa Province overseeing more than 30 kilometres of the route.
Once completed, the expressway will shorten the distance between Khanh Hoa and Buon Ma Thuot from nearly 200 kilometres to 117 kilometres, improving connectivity and supporting socio-economic development between the Central Highlands and the south-central coastal region.
