According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, temperatures in Hanoi on May 27 are expected to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
The capital is also forecast to experience low humidity levels of around 40-45%, with hot conditions lasting from 9 am to 7 pm.
Temperatures are expected to gradually decline on May 28, with highs ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, accompanied by scattered evening showers and thunderstorms.
From May 29 to May 31, Hanoi is forecast to see less intense heat, with daytime temperatures mostly between 32 and 35 degrees Celsius.
However, forecasters said hot weather would intensify again from June 1, with another widespread heatwave likely to persist through June 6.
