At the ceremony, representatives of the People’s Police Academy and Dantri presented symbolic donations for the construction of two houses worth a combined VND 340 million (approximately USD 13,100) for the families of Ca Thi Panh and Lu Thi La.
Each household received VND 170 million (approximately USD 6,540), including VND 50 million (approximately USD 1,920) from the academy, while the remaining funds were donated by Dantri readers and benefactors.

Additional sponsorship worth VND 320 million (approximately USD 12,300), contributed by officers and personnel of the People’s Police Academy, the Green Foot Club and GBE Business Association, was allocated to build Pu Hong Kindergarten.

The charity delegation also donated two tonnes of rice, 30 gift packages and cash support for disadvantaged households, along with milk, toiletries and school supplies for children ahead of International Children’s Day on June 1.

Speaking at the event, Lu Thi La expressed gratitude to Dantri readers, the People’s Police Academy and donors for helping her family secure funding for a new home.
“This is timely and extremely valuable support that helps my four children and me overcome a difficult period,” she said emotionally.

Lo Thi Panh, whose two children suffer from thalassaemia, said she had never imagined receiving such significant assistance.
“With a new house, we no longer fear our home collapsing during the rainy season,” she said.
Colonel Phan Van Thinh from the People’s Police Academy encouraged the family to take the children to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion for treatment.
Thinh said officers and students from the academy were willing to donate blood to support the children during treatment.

The programme also donated a children’s playground worth VND 30 million (approximately USD 1,150) to Pu Hong Kindergarten, installed solar powered lighting systems at schools and Leng Su Sin Border Guard Station, and distributed further support packages for poor households and disadvantaged students.
In addition, the delegation donated 11 computer sets to commune police units in the area to support professional operations and improve public services.

“We believe every contribution today helps strengthen ties between the people and security forces while spreading Vietnam’s tradition of solidarity and compassion,” Colonel Phan Van Thinh said.
