Police in Bac Trach Commune said officers uncovered the nets in fields in Village 1 after receiving reports from residents about unfamiliar individuals setting traps to catch wild birds.
Following an on-site inspection, authorities found multiple large nets already installed across the fields for bird trapping.

All of the nets were later confiscated and destroyed to prevent further hunting of wild birds, police said.
The use of nets, traps and sound-emitting devices to lure birds is increasingly damaging local ecosystems and biodiversity.
Such methods indiscriminately trap many bird species and can seriously disrupt the natural ecological balance.
Police also urged residents not to hunt, assist in trapping or consume wild birds illegally, while encouraging the public to report violations to authorities for timely intervention and enforcement.
