The seizures were made during inspections at the Lao Bao and Cha Lo international border gates as part of a nationwide crackdown on smuggling and counterfeit goods.
At Lao Bao border gate on May 14, customs officers discovered 1,776 products suspected of being counterfeit, including Senka Perfect Whip facial cleanser and Banana Boat sunscreen labelled Made in Japan and Made in USA.

At Cha Lo border gate, inspections conducted between May 13 and 18 uncovered more than 16,000 suspected counterfeit items, including handbags, backpacks, sports shoes, clothing and sandals bearing labels such as Gucci, Chanel, Nike, Adidas, Puma and Crocs.
The goods were detected in transit shipments, with some cargo allegedly falsely declared or disguised as ordinary goods to evade inspection.
Customs officials said investigations were continuing to determine violations and handle the cases in accordance with the law.
Authorities warned that cross-border trafficking of counterfeit and intellectual property-infringing goods remained complicated, particularly through transit cargo routes.
