The display will feature both low- and high-altitude fireworks at Dinh Tien Hoang De Square in Hoa Lu Ward, with the show scheduled to begin at around 9.30 pm after an opening art performance.
Authorities said approximately 120 low-altitude firework sets and 300 high-altitude shells would be used during the event, which is expected to last up to 15 minutes.
The provincial People’s Committee said funding for the fireworks programme would come entirely from private sponsorship rather than the state budget.
Military, police, tourism and cultural agencies have been assigned to coordinate preparations and ensure safety, security and public order throughout the event.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week is one of the province’s major annual tourism promotion events, aimed at showcasing the cultural heritage, natural landscapes and tourism potential of the former imperial capital.
The festival is expected to attract large numbers of domestic and international visitors, particularly as Ninh Binh continues to strengthen its position as one of Vietnam’s leading eco-cultural tourism destinations.
